That is the answer, thanks wifey. No matter how well the paint is removed, or, if I decided to paint it, it would never look as good as the eBay ones. The cost would be minimal compared to the work I would need to do to get it ready for painting or paint removing.

What was the part number you used on Rock Auto for the 10pcs front suspension kit? In fact, what was all the part numbers of the items you just purchased on Rock Auto? I am doing my front end and want to see the various item. I looked for radiator hoses before and never found them on Rock Auto.

I finally remembered to take a picture of the chipped, painted grill. You can see why I want to do something about it, either painted it black, or, remove the black (making it back to chrome).

Thanks everyone… From the looks on the various pictures member posted, it looks like all the grills are black on the sides, and chrome on the face of the grill. I would have thought the colors of the sides of the grill would match the paint color.
