You should have a few bolts that bolt to balancer and tool, then tool having a centered big bolt you turn clockwise to remove balancer. Basically the big bolt is pressing against crank while plate is pulling on balancer. It will take some balls to initially start removing balancer as its pressed on.
Good luck

I have the tool set up bht when i turn it all it does is turn the motor over. I tried using a breaker bar and a electric impack with 400 ft pounds. Tony told me to put the truck in 1st gear and have the ebrake all the way down. That didnt help any. Any ideas to keep the motor from turning over?

Ok. So. You removed the serpentine belt. Removed the lower pulley. Loosened the center bolt but left it in about 3 or 4 turns. This will be what the puller bolt will push against. Put the truck in a gear with the e-brake on. The engine should not turn with it in gear and the emergence brake firmly applied!

I stick a long Handel pry bar through one of the puller bolts, resting against the center shaft of the puller...if you cant hold it by hand get the prybar to rest on something solid- the frame the floor etc...

If you have it set up properly, it should not turn your engine. Also, If you plan on reusing the balancer, do not use the floating bolt holes, they will break off. On a side note, the timing cover was also a bitch to get off, the seal really had it on there.
If your trying to take the balancer bolt off, you need a stronger impact.

Yeah its just the one you rent at auto zone.

I didnt realize that i was suppose to leave the center bolt in. I ad taken it out and screwed the tool into where the center bolt was.
