Try X2 builders they got complete motors and specialize in Vipers and our 10's. Ask for Scott.

Wow, that's terrible. My condolences. I would second the X2 they have a few ready to be shipped. Also there is or was an add on Facebook for a block. Good luck in your search and transplant.

Sorry to hear about your motor. If you're looking for a new motor I know Ebay sells a few complete motors from 8-10k.

Small end failure. I'd like to see the piston. This occurred at start up correct?

What were the engines conditions just prior to last shut down? I'd bet the piston suffered detonation and stuck in the cylinder.

These engines are overbuilt and under stressed stock. Warm them up thoroughly before playing, run em' on the rich side and geeze, don't over rev them. The valve train does not like it.

Please share if you can.

Cheers!

Mine bent a piston rod doing start up. It was a cold start to boot. Im lucky mine just bent and didnt break and go through the block.

My engine builder couldnt really say what caused it, they said bent pistons typically only happen when water gets in the motor. It was raining the day I started and I had just put my wheels on to replace the ones that got stolen. I didnt have the hood open though.

Either way I was a lucky one, OP sorry for the block. As somebody else said try x2 builders, I bought a set of wheels from them when mine were stolen.

I am on Base here on Fort Lee VA. Speed limit is 25 on base. I drove it back and forth to school all day. Never got above second gear. Didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Since I have owned it I try not to rev it high when driving it. It was sitting approx. 1 hour when I tried to start it to go to dinner. When it made some small clanking and then nothing.
