The worst thing is to let them sit. I'd rather buy one with 20k miles rather than zero. We all know better and steer clear of zero millage Vipers. You should hear some of the nightmares. The worst is when some foolish individual only puts 3k miles on in 10 years. Then someone buys said veichles and starts to put some miles on it...Then the problems start..
I would take my chances with the sitter rather than one that's been well hammered Just depends on what you are looking for

Well gentlemen - and I will include Mopar or NoCar in this - the truck is for sale. $35,000 Canadian dollars (Mopar or No car will figure out the exchange for all of us since he is the resident expert on all things SRT-10 related including rarity of all vehicles - jeez - wish I could have consulted him prior to purchasing this truck - he makes it appear that any year is not up to anyone's standards except his). Anyway's gents - I don't want to get into a urination match with a fool so here are the facts:
2005 model year, 46,000 KMs ( just for Mopar or no car that's kilometers - we use them in Canada but for your sake that's about 28,583 miles and 131.542 yards)
Mint condition other than a few stone chips on the nose ( so, according to Mopar or No car not mint but guys take it for what its worth).
If anyone is interested I will take pictures of anything and send them via e-mail.
She has 4 new tires - about 6,000 kms (damn - I forgot about Mopar or no car - he won't convert to Canadian anything - 6,000 kms is equivalent to 3,278 miles and 399.7664 yards - there are conversion tables on the internet he could use but................
Anyways - back to the truck........
It's red, one of 473 built in red for 2005, runs like a top, I keep it tuned and oil changes steady, runs very strong, no electrical issues, new battery last May.
It's a great truck and the only reason I'm selling her is that i'm just not driving her as much as I'd like to. That's the bottom line. I'm FIRM at $35,000 CANADIAN - that's $27,904.45 US FUNDS I'll round it up to $28,000 US Funds for any Americans looking.
Feel free to pm me through this site and we will go from there.
Mike

Seals, Orings and gaskets dry out from little use and very little oil. Hoses and oil lines dry rot. Corrosion inside of crankcase, trans and rear end due to moisture. Internal engine parts not covered in oil will rust over time. Even the elect connectors are affected.. Sure some cases are worse than others. seen a bunch of classics that people thought (owners and buyers) were golden because they look great from the outside.

If you intend to put miles on it steer clear from little to zero millage examples. You want to polish it and stare at it at night i say go for it!!

Please dont think just because your trophy queen is in climate controlled storage that its fine.

Im sure you would take your chances, if you dont know any better.....

4k miles?
Well see after 10k.
Dont take this as an insult, but 4k miles? I put that much on mine in the first 2 months...l0l

15k in 2 years and change.

WOW! Someone with some real intelligence! So like if I buy an original barn find model T I would have to get tires and check the oil before I drove it??? Who woulda thunk???

I personally would assume any pre owned vehicle would need a pretty thorough go over before I would jump in and go. Whatever the repairs, I am sure would be cheaper than buying a new car.

Yes, its a good thing you should try it.. Several Events with my local VOA. Had a beautiful trip into the twisty roads of northern Pa. Made a trip up to the motherland to bid farewell to Viper. Track days on the twistys and on the 1/4 mile. Car shows and cruises ( car shows arent my thing really). A wine cruise into the beautiful eastern ohio wine country. 15k miles in 2.5 years is a ton?? Thats funny....

There is something very special about crusing in a 6,8,10 Viper caravan to an event...

They were made to drive, and i bought my car to enjoy it... Whats the point in having it if you are going to let it sit?

The wife and i had a blast last year in the car... Im lucky that she looks forward to some of these club events as much as i do...
