Thanks ViperPete. Hard to get use to that sluggish feel when going into 6th. I've got a hot rod Challenger with the 5 speed auto running 3.73's and you sure never feel sluggish with that setup.

Ya I want gears as well for my 04 . But on that note when I had my 05 with 456s I even wanted more gear. But I do like the nice highway driving with the 410s . Nothing like doing 80 mph and not even breaking a sweat and my fuel milage doubles.

Yeah rbabody know what you mean about the highway driving at 80 and the tach is in the teens, kinda' blows what mind I have left! I guess I'm looking for a happy middle ground here.

if you want a little extra 4.56 , but understand , unless your unit is brand new, swapping gears should consist of changing all the bearings out, normally depending on the area it runs from $500-$1000 for a gear change unless you can do it yourself, gears are quirky, and be sure to do your homework and get an experienced installer, one little bit off and you will get a whine or roar.

I changed out my 4:10's for 4:56 gears when I had my transmission rebuilt. I like the 4:56 gears much better for driving around town. I don't regret the change at all.

I may do this as a February project (maybe make winter go faster). Who would you all suggest to get the ring/pinion/install kit/lube from? I know that Auburn Gear has a big following and of course Mopar would be my first choice. Give me something to hang my hat on as to where to buy. JTS do you offer this gear change ratio? Thanks in advance!
