He builds and puts max effort and care into his own press vehicles, as was stated. So people get the appearance that he's top notch. And his company is capable of being top notch, they just choose not to. The one thread that really stuck with me was about the one guy who dropped of his Viper to get built and turns out they were taking parts off his car to sell to other customers because Hennessey had promised various customers a new hood or a new wheel, etc, and Hennessey figured they'd be able to do that with his car and then get the parts back from another poor sucker, but they got caught and the owner ended up getting into a literal fist fight with John Hennessey and got sued. It was a bad ordeal. But car magazines and such tout Hennessey as a great place because all they ever see are the few vehicles that he actually builds right.
