It must look absolutely massive on the road.

    Surging at idle

Quick update, I just pulled the throttle body and cleaned it, everything seemed to in fine order, barely any soot buildup. The slow return to idle however continues. I'll have to do some checking for vacuum leaks next.

    Throttle body question

Good data, nice to know either is good bang for the buck. Notice you're just up the road from too, gotta love NA engines down here at sea level :)

    Throttle body question

Awesome data, thanks for all the details! This is vs the BBK correct? What's it look like vs stock?

    Throttle body question

That's what I was thinking, hence my question. Do you have any dyno data?

Sucks when you get the wrong parts :(

That looks great! I'm feeling an itch to do the same.

    Surging at idle

Never overlook the nipple eh? That'll be easy to check when I pull it off for cleaning this weekend. I'm just hoping that I don't find out that the intake manifold gaskets are prone to leaking.

    Build sheet

Damn it, I was wondering how to get more than 200 miles out of a tank, obviously adjusting driving habits wasn't going to do the trick. Now, the question is, can an 05 tank go into an 06 and is there some way to have the onboard system know about the extra capacity?

    Throttle body question

This is more of a product question regarding the JTSVP throttle body. My current TB is a little rough looking on the outside so I was considering replacing it since I'm taking off to clean it. Looking around it seems that there are two aftermarket options, the JTSVP and the BBK. My question...

    Surging at idle

Didn't get a chance this weekend to pull the TB off and clean it but that's my next step. Regarding the couple suggestions that it could be a vacuum leak, it doesn't seem like there is a lot of vacuum lines on this engine so what are the likely locations?

    Surging at idle

Update Ok, I've replaced the TPS and IAC, cleaning the IAC body as I did it and the problem seems to be about the same. I don't see "surging" so much as a general lag in returning to normal idle. This weekend I'll clean the throttle body and see if that makes a difference. I've made video...

66 Plymouth Sport Fury Viper Swap

That's awesome! I've been seriously considering doing something similar with a project car and I had a couple questions after seeing this: 1. What transmission did you use? 2. You mentioned PCM changes to run standalone, what were those? Seeing the oil pan modifications was great...

    Surging at idle

I've got a bluetooth ODBII scanner, I've only ever used it to pull codes on a few other cars and to see if anything obvious showed up on this. I'll check it out on this guy and see if I can find the readings you mention. The high idle seems to act like something is a little sticky, if I blip...

    Surging at idle

The TPS was available off the shelf so I just changed that, no change. So now I'm waiting on the IAC valve to show up. When I do the IAC I'll check the butterflies to see if there is anything going on in there but from and external glance check everything seems "snappy", no indications of it...

Awesome! Thanks for the data, I'll order them and post back with the results.

    Surging at idle

I've noticed that on occasion I get some surging and high idle (1k) if I goose the throttle a bit and then come to a stop. It seems to last for a minute or more and then clears up. It's an 05 QC with about 21k miles, stock motor AFAIK with exception of a K&N filter. No engine codes or any...

    Seized Caliper

Had a smoking stuck caliper on the front left about a month ago, only 20k on the odometer but from what I can tell it's just the hydroscopic nature of brake fluid and these calipers that makes it a thing. Rebuilt both sides, took a few hours but I used the data from this forum to help out...

    New member/owner Dunedin Fl

Hey everyone, new member posting here. I just recently purchased a 2005 Yellow Fever QC as a daily driver, she had only 19k miles but I'm working on changing that now. It's my first SRT10 but I was a very happy owner of a Yellow 2001 RT-10, I should never have sold that car.... I'm in the...
