proven fact that little or no air comes in the hood scoop, it's actually better as a heat release....... tons of threads on this.
the stock hydraulics for the clutch on these trucks are crap..... you need to upgrade & since you'll be in there, you might as well do the clutch itself. If you're a drag racer, fidanza flywheel too:

ummm, hands down GTS....... Better looking (never lost to an srt @ a car show), forged internals ('96-'99), only 50hp diff, cheaper to buy, gets the looks,.......:D
can't answer for a gen3 viper, but ya gotta respect those gen2's....... on cold tires, aggressive driving will bring the rear end around.... the viper trucks were easy to drive in comparison.... comfort? no problem. :)
mine's not a DD, but have know a few that were...... The vipers are a solid car with few issues. Texas is probably a better weather location for it to be a DD, but haters are what i try to avoid.
