I used to use 7.5 qts Modil 1 5w-30, one qt of Lucas Synthetic stabilizer, and a K&N oil filter. Truck ran like a champ.

Thanks for the offer Brad, but I will most likely be on an extended stay, as I would also visit my buddy who also lives in Phx. My schedule will not be set in stone, so I don't want to make any commitments at the moment :)

I want to personally thank JT (VNM PWRD) for letting me drive his ride, it definately has re-kindled my interest in the truck. Although I have to give serious thought, need to analyze my life at this point. By the way, insurance pegged my truck at 14,000 salvaged buy-back, with 20,000+ in damage.

Well, as an end to all of this, the truck had been declared a total loss, insurance has covered the remaining balance of the debt to the leinholder, so I am officially relieved of a truck. Not sure what comes next, but I dont think I can own another SRT Ram again. Thanks for all the advice and...

I just left the ignition on for about 15 secs when I did mine, started up with no problem. Not a bad DIY job, although the rear bolts on the drivers side may be problematic, I know they were in my case. I would try to remove those two before working on anything else.

My truck looks worse, and the insurance is willing to cover?! LOL I have so far 17K in damage, yours isn't too bad, worth getting fixed IMO.

Thanks for the well wishes. Adjuster will send me a total sometime soon. Truck is at the body shop, lets see what they have to fix. :(
