2005 QC differential - Want to confirm it is a Dana (super) 60 with a Dana 70 cover.
Each site I contact believes it to be a Dana 60.

I know the cover is a Dana 70, since I have one on and have done a fit test with both covers.

Thanks.
Anyone look at the Powertrax Dana 60 30 spline by Richmond?

The POWERTRAX® TRACTION SYSTEMS are the latest design in traction adding differential technology. It combines the smooth operation of a limited-slip differential, with the traction performance of a locking differential.
A precise synchronization mechanism eliminates the ratcheting sounds typical of other locking differentials. Special gear and spring design reduce the backlash and therefore driveline windup. Only ultra strength material is used which is 67% stronger than titanium.

Installation is simple because no ring and pinion set-up is required. In addition, no special tools or oils are needed. Step by step model specific instructions are provided with every kit. The POWERTRAX® TRACTION SYSTEMS are the ideal solution for just about any light truck, sport utility, and muscle car on the road today. Whether you need the safety of added traction for daily commuting, recreation, work, or just so your muscle car puts power to the pavement instead of burning one wheel up, the POWERTRAX® TRACTION SYSTEMS are your answer.

Interesting videos of pull-offs of different rear ends.

By the looks of it, it will not work with C-Clip axles.

I wrote to their company asking that question.

I found this on another web site.

Dana 60 30 Spline C-Clip Carrier Powertrax No-Slip Locker
No-Slip Traction System
The Powertrax No-Slip Traction System is the latest design in traction adding differential technology. It combines the smooth operation of a limited-slip differential, with the traction performance of a locking differential.

Now that is interesting. I wonder if they have a special tool to remove/install the c-clip through that slot?
I wrote also asking for the installation manual. We'll see, good question.

I'm lucky that at Taliban Dan's shop (Kitchens), they have a transmission guy who can do the work if needed. I don't want to mess with that big rear end! lol

What is our stock spline count?

Anyone know the difference of a Dana 60 and a Dana Super 60?

The center sections are the same to my knowledge. The differences are in the tubes and axles.

thanks again, still researching

Sorry, no listing for your application but we do make units for dana 60 with open and limited slip carriers 30,32 and 35 spline axles. Check with dealer on carrier and spline count. Give him VIN.
