Ok, I promised an update...So far, I've installed the 170 thermostat, I have a stage II computer, and I installed Boomer's fan kit. Today I drove to work, outside temp was 84, oil and water temp on the truck +/- 200 pretty steady, the highest was baout 205. This afternoon on the way home the truck said it was 104, oil and water temp +/- 200, the highest, again was 205. The A/C seems to be a little better, but I also had the windows tinted this weekend, so that might be the difference in the A/C, or a combination of the two. Bottom line, I'm may be 10 degrees or so cooler than I was when I started. It definitely does take it longer to warm up when it's completely cold. The fan that comes with Boomer's kit is kinda smallish, 12" or so, perhaps a bigger one would make more difference, I do not know.

That's the update...

Hey man 70 is friggin hot....:D .....for the guys that don;t have flashes yet...the newer DC flashes lower operating temps.....

Here in my part of Southern Cali....we get steady temps in the 90-100 degree range unlike Malibu boy and my temps were always around 180-190 with DC's flash

Since the new DC flash I never see 200 or 180. On 100 degree plus days my air still is ice cold. And even with the S/c I have no heat issues. Thanks Chris.

Hey Steve,

Did you feel an increase in power? Where I'm at the truck is always higher than 200, I'm at 7200ft. and avg. temp is 85. Oh and my AC sucks a nut!

I had to go to a HUGE intercooler, a top up tank for the charge cooler, the flash, and Dual elec fans to get the results Nowwhat gets.

All the mods in the world won't get you the results I get...:D

Well, here in Phx we're already seeing above 110F temps. In stop and go It'll nuzzle up near 210 coolant. Once moving it'll drop down to 200-205 range. The hotmode or whatever you might call it does work and is quite instant when in WOT. FIrst time it happened I thought I had dropped a cylinder it was so abrupt. Truck instantly felt like a Hemi in power....:p

You and I have done the same install. I just put Boomers second fan in this last weekend. They are small but stack nicely in the center of the condensor. I'm running about 10 degrees cooler. Around 110 degrees here yesterday in stop and go traffic, temps were around 195-200. AC blasting as you may have guessed.

When you mean newer...Is that just released yesterday, or within a year or so? Do you know what they have done to create a cooler running engine temp? This engine cooling thing has now turned into a mystery to me with the new PCM upgrades. Do you think you could ask the question when you talk to them again Mike? Im sure there making you a sucked and blown version of something over there.:D :p

The only thing it does is increase the fans duty cycle. I dont think DC's is any different than Boomer's as far as COOLING. I think it just isnt as hot and humid in Socal.
