First, I'd like to thank everyone that has emailed and PM'ed me all of the helpful suggestions on choosing a truck and getting it prepped for racing. My father and I have a long winter ahead of us in Syracuse, NY to get it ready. Fortunately, I have a good friend who runs a taxi company - he has a lift and a mechanic. 
So far, the truck is home in Syracuse, NY with a bad oxygen sensor that's getting swapped friday. My only modification so far is a fancy mount and wiring harness for a Valentine 1 radar detector.
And, we are now officially entered into One Lap of America:

We're at the bottom, we just got our approval.
I'll keep you guys updated on our progress, and I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions about the truck.
