T’was the afternoon after Christmas when all around my house;
Not a raindrop was falling, not even an ounce.
The children were playing with their toys from the tree;
While I was going for leftovers, then again, then times three.
When all of a sudden their arose such a noise;
I hopped through the living room over children and toys.
Away to the front door I flew like a flash;
Un-did the main lock and opened the latch.
The sun on the breast of the freshly cut grass;
Gave luster of mid-day to the leaves that blew past.
When, what to my wondering eyes would appear;
Was the post man in his jeep wearing his protective sun gear.
He was a little old driver really lively but not quick;
I knew at that moment that he couldn’t be St. Nick.
He handed me mail then I signed for the trackage;
Then he reached behind his seat and handed me a white package.
I didn’t know what I was holding I didn’t have one clue;
But then I saw the label and away back to the front door I flew.
I ripped open the parcel as I loudly assert;
“This one is mine cause it’s my Viper Truck Club shirt.â€
I smiled as I held it, the color that I ordered;
Black with a the white VTCoA emblem embroidered.
It came the day after Christmas, just in time, just my luck;
The color was chosen to match the interior of our trucks.
I put it on and posed thinking of the next National Meet;
I can’t wait to wear it out cause this shirt looks so neat.
I sat at the computer to announce this online;
To let the forum members know that today I received mine.
I’m here to thank Patrick for the order he placed;
I’ll snap a picture and post it as the main shot on myspace.
I’m sure the rest got theirs without difficulty nor plight;
:santaclaus: Merry Christmas to all, HEY couldn’t I have ordered this in white? :dontknow:
