My game puter is about three years old and while really fast when it was built for me...I understand the speed of technology growth...

So here is what the new one needs to do...

1. Be really fast
2. Serve as my daily user desktop
3. I never game on line
4. I do spend a lot of time in single shooter games
5. I browse the web constantly
6. I usually have three computers running, lap-top for VTCOA, Desktop for games, and another desktop for stock market, student email and Blackboard and browsing.

Possible???:

Anyway to use one key board rather than three? Does such a switcher exist?

What about a screen that will allow simultaneous input from four sources (three computers and the TV...)?

Just wondering!

All of this is possible!

Check out this simple solution for controlling multiple machines with one keyboard mouse and monitor, the common name is KVM (keyboard, Video, Mouse) I had several of these in use in the server room at my former employer.:D http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=580953&CatId=202 (this is merely an example) (Keep in mind that you do not have to use the video portion if you want to be able to see all of the computers at the same time.)

Most newer monitors also have inputs for more than one source, but it is really the computer's video card that will allow the additional inputs. I would suggest running multiple monitors on at least one of your machines so that you can put the TV input in a window there, and still watch the Forum update.;)

I will put up some specs in a minute....

Anything that allows me to shoot, get shot and not experience pain...

Your to old for games. You need a rocking chair with a blanket and a pipe.

And just to think, I was going to suggest not spending a lot on a video card...

Sorry, had to get the Prius serviced. I refuse to change the oil on that thing. But since Aero and I are driving it to Florida thought it should have a clean filter and some new oil.

Rocking chair...??? do they make them without arms so if some one decides to straddle me the arms won't get in the way:dontknow: :D

Scotty you are so helpful...now that I know where to get the rocking chair...how about finding some young (or old) woman to do the straddling?
