The crank was new already and I only had 3k miles on it since they put a new crank in and once again anyone in Illinois stay away from Schaumburg dodge, the work they did on my shit was 3rd rate if you can call it that. Nothing to spec under torqued. The flex honed it instead of doin it with a ridged hone and to top it off the had it for 8 weeks:mad: So now I am just glad I did the pistons and rods and know everything is put back together the right way triple checked by me and double check by my buddy helping me. :D

Here are the Pics.

These are pics of where you should place the bottle jack on the A/C bracket
to lift up the motor about 6-8inches to slide out the oil pan.

Forgot to mention that. The Rods are awsome in my opinoin very nice. My Buddy who helped me with the delicate stuff mic, weighing, balancing, honing 1) said the pistons and rods that where stock he has seen better shit in lawn mowers:marchmellow: He has literaly built maybe around 400 to 500 engines in the past 20 yrs 2.His ring file grinder was wore the fug out after doin the rings :D Nice shit Stink 3. He said the piston and rod setup up was dead on in weight and very very nice quality ( he was alittle pissed about it being in frame but pay backs are a mother fucker:marchmellow: ) Very nice stuff Stinkey my man:congrats:

I know:D tommorow should do it I. Just sucks coming home after turning wrenches all day:( Kinda like a pornstar working all day the his old lady wants to screw too:dontknow: :marchmellow: But no excuses anymore starting to get nice outside again:rock:

Wow, in frame job huh. Seems like a lot of work in the bay. Is there a reason you didn't pull the block out?

I did it at home, my shop is to dirty for this kind of work. Plus at home no hoist or engine stand. :D I only did rods and pistons so no biggie really.

You say that you honed the motor as well? How did you clean out the block and keep the crap from entering the oil galleries on the throws?

flexhone 320 grit to clean up the crosshatch, if we got shit in the gallies then we did something wrong, I made covers out of the old head gasket with aluminum foil and only had one hole open at a time and we cover the crank with rags.

Yes you technical bastage:D nope left them stock and kept the ring end gap close to stock. I think head work would benefit a turbo setup but it has yet to be proven to benefit an S/C stock cam also. We shall see keep your fingers crossed:marchmellow:

everything will turn out great man:rock:

i can see that on the heads/cam combo.

then a good tune & rock&roll:burnout: :burnout: :burnout:
