The photos pretty much speak for them selves. Had a cracked rotor in the rear- found these 2 rear EBC slotted rotors for $170 on speedyperformance.com I got the green ebc pads from Boomer. Only did the rears, i am going to order the front ebc rotors and do them then. Boomer also sent me the Caltracs.....thanks bro! If you bang the bushing with a punch and a sledge hammer out of the leaf resting on 2X4's after using a chizzle and hammer to remove the lip on the bushing they come out. Other than that a pretty cake install overall.

Sorry i was overdue on the NOS pics. I got the black calvues because i didn't like the way all silver looked. Going for all black look.

I get the 150-175 and 200 jets delivered on tuesday....going to the track wednesday. Weather says it'll be 69 degrees so thats the best we've had in a loooooong time.

Here's the link....

With the lowering kit and the caltracs how much clearance to the ground do you have? Anyone know if the caltracs inhibit the handling of the truck in the twisties? I wonder if the Caltracs and/or Boomers adjustable shocks will compliment each other at the drag strip and/or road coarse. I'd hate to get the truck to work better at the strip only to have the same setup perform less then stock on the road coarse. So many questions :)

Great pics. I must have missed the reason for the failure but the upgrades look fantastic. You should be proud. :star:

i don't know what the reason for the failer was....i think i bought it like that and didn't notice.

I don't know how caltracs handle in the road course.....but they are adjustable so i am sure you can set it up differently for track or course.

anyone with caltracs......what is the best setting for drag strip......tighten up the bars as much as possible by hand or go to a wrench to turn it up further?

:D Loookingggg goooooooooooood.....

Right on.....let us know how those rotors hold up....GROUP BUY....

The Caltrac SECRET......adjust until they touch....then go 1 full turn past that using a wrench....when not draging unload them until they are an 1/8th" from touching....

I bought a full lenght metal BLACK antenna....try it...cleans up the look...like $8......:D

Looks nice.:burnout: :)

Be sure to re-torque the U-Bolts after a few hundred miles. They will probably loosen up on you.

So you mean "until they touch" meaning right when you get tension on the bar then one turn past that? I cranked them as tight as I could with my hands:dontknow: What is the drawback of driving around town with them pre loaded? I'll have to check out that antenna i was thinking about that.....where'd you get yours?

Silver Back.....I'll check those u bolts for sure! I was surprised how loose they were when we took them off!

I just did a couple of test burnouts! I dumped it at 4,000 and it burned out sooo smoothe it felt like it was burning out on ice!!! It also grabs second a lot better too.....definately less spin. I can't wait to feel these things at the track w/ my tires on!

Rice you better be carefull with that 200 shot or KAAAABOOOOOOOM! I might go up on Wednesday if the cold front comes through.

Rice....are you running propane with a 150+ shot...?.....don't run a dry shot that big....

its a zex wet system....no propane...i am running colder plugs and high octane when spraying with still stock timing. i porbably won't go over a 150 shot unitl I can at least afford a 2nd car if she blows!!!

Wet system....?.....means propane or a 2nd fuel supply....

Oh...as far as the Caltracs....yeah 1 turn past touching....just turn with your hands until you see it touch the leaf spring....as far as driving on the street preloaded...I started to get some squ:dontknow: eeking,.....

,.....

Hmmmm i dunno......my system taps the stock fuel rail for fuel source which goes into the shark nozzel where it sprays nitro and fuel into the air stream where it then atomizes.

got it....you tapped the fuel rail.......pm'd you my number....

Doesn't tapping into the rail lower the psi when activated?

I do not know for sure but from my understanding the stock fuel pump is capable of supplying exess capacity for a stock setup. So once you tap the fuel rail and activate the nitrous....yes it pulls fuel form the rail.....but then the computer senses that the fuel pump supplies more fuel into the system. This is why one has to be very careful as to how big of a nitrous shot they run on a stock fuel system becase the bigger the nitrous jet the bigger the fuel jet must be also.....so there will be a point where the stock fuel system can no longer supply enough fuel and you will lean out the motor w/ nitrous and Kaboooom! Where exactly that point is.....is the magic question! I'll be conservative until I get a fuel pressure gauge and a Wideband A/F gauge.
