well im doing research on the cost of mods, and gains from them for srt10 trucks . i am on the market for new vehicle and have been in love with these trucks for a while..

if i was to purchase on of these, id go for a quad cab.

what will a set of longtubes cost and gains?

cai i know i can custom fab it, cat delete can be done locally as well..

cost for tune

will it be it ok to spray the viper motor 100 shot safely ?


what will be the best bang for the buck mods on these trucks


cost for a street friendly cam, do i need to replace springs rods?, the labor i know local people who can do it..

and the estimated time for a cat delete,cai,custom tune,100 shot,slicks, on a quad cab :drool:

Sct tune from unleashed tony $400 throttle. Body $450 jtsvp.com headers 1,500 I think thats what it cost not 100% on the price other people will chim in on what to get

100 shot is GTG on the '10's. IMO nitrous is by far the best bang for the buck. PM Phxpoolguy and he can let you know what it takes to push a QC into the 11's with nitrous. Oh and his truck has about 100k on it with no problems.

To delete all, mechanical or electric sims will be needed. Deleting the rear 2 just cut 'em off and go. Depends on your emission requirements for deleting all.

i highly recommend the sct tuner from Torrie (unleashed) nos is at your own risk there are those that have run the nos and had no issue for 100k miles others have done it and blown the engine. the piston heads on these stock engines seem very irregular 1 does well another is a cream puff but that's just my 2 cents. headers for these trucks are expensive actually i think almost everything is. but that being said i love my qc had it since brand new back in 05 and loved all 45k miles of it :)

yup, you can go 150 shot and be safe on the N20. if i was looking at a QC i'd build the trans, get a stall and slicks, tune and a 150 shot should be good for low 12's or high 11's
 
Wow 150 sounds scary ....lol id do a 100 shot max.....are pulleys a good gain ?

oh and 150 is fine, gotta remember it's spread out over 10 cylinders
150/10= 15hp per cylinder vs 150/8=18.75, so you could run a 175 and still in theory be putting less stress on a v10 than a 150 on a v8. as a matter of fact i think JMB justin ran a 175 shot in his regular cab for years(think he ran 11.3@121ish mph)

To add to what arrestmered commented on the sims, there are different opinions on the sims. Some say use anti foulers, some just zip tie to the frame, some say electric. I prefer the electric because even with full cat delete I can still pass emmissions testing due to the DMV using an obd2 scan to check the "system ready". Others have failed with mechanical because they do not report back to the ECM a "ready sensor". Hope this helps.

Sounds good...any history on here of ppl blowin up these motors on spray?

I sent my 4.7 to the grave om a 135 shot and 2 5.7s on 150...on a single nozzle kit

I don't remember hearing about anyone ever blowing one up on spray, not saying it won't happen...

What part of TX are you in? I plan to get mine in the 11's all motor then spray it with a 150 shot.
