Ever since the day I picked up my truck from the body shop after having the bumper replaced and this popped out from driving a whole mile from the body shop to the store this has driven me up the freaking wall!!!!

I took it back but they said they wouldn't fix it because I must have hit something just small enough to pop it in. Plus they guarantee all metal and paint work, not accent work. So I figured I would just pop it back in but I can not figure it out?!? I see the tab on the grill I figured it would just pop right in to the little slot on the bumper but no go? Is there some clips or something I'm missing? This is after I popped these in the best I can but as soon as I drive it the wind will push it in.

You have to take the bumper off the get to the tabs.once you get the grill poped back in use some sealer to hold them in place.

I might stop by there on the way to work and pitch my case again!

+1...as would any reputable body shop:rock:

Personally, I know it is aggrivating having to deal with it yourself but just take the front clip off. It isn't a hard thing to do. It's 11 10mm bolts connected to the belly pan through the fascia and I think 2 torx on the inner fenders and then lift up each side on top by the headlight, lift up the center and pull it up and off.

I agree with everyone telling you to take it to the body shop. A reputable shop will take care of it. If they don't then never go back.

Reputable seems to be the key point here. Didn't he already go back and they told him to pound sand?

That they did and the lady I dealt with was nothing but a ahole!

As for the Manager who I dealt with today, he was great. I came in and it was the same lady and as I walked up the, "Here we go again" went through my head but as I started to talk, a guy walked over and said "Mind if I take a look", it was the same awesome guy who I dealt with when I originally dropped my truck off for work in the beginning who turns out to be the manager/owner. We walked outside and he said "I remembered the face but who could forget that truck, I was just talking about it today" as we got closer we were about 25-30 feet away and he said "I can see it from here". I told him about my previous experiences and what the lady had told me about warranty work and he said, "No anything we touch, we warranty, do you want to drop it off now?". I couldn't take him up on it since I had no way to get to work if I did but he said he was waiting for me today. So beside the nasty lady at the counter they're A-OK in my book.

Glad to hear it. Didn't know your meeting with lady screw yourself started this.

Sounds like she is the problem not the shop. Funny how these trucks still grab peoples attention going on 7 years since they stopped making them.

Yeah it amazes me sometimes. Walking out of work or the store and seeing people stopped and taking pictures of it or walking up and asking me questions about it. Then I think if "Viper Powered" wasn't on my windshield how many people would still know what it is.

Even with Viper Powered on the windshield alot of people won't know what it is.
