at the end of first gear then goes into 2nd just fine. What are the chances that it is just time for a band adjustment and nothing major??

I would go check from what I've gathered on here our bands should be adjusted every 10,000 miles of hard driving or something real close to that

It's been in the air lately :(
These trannys just ain't meant to spin 6000rpm.
They were designed for 3000rpm max in a diesel

The last time I adjusted the bands I also installed the borg Warner Cable shift
solenoid along with that little plastic valve thingy.. would it be worth it to replace those items again while I have the tranny pan dropped??

If it were not for the T-56 in my RC, I would NOT have one of these rigs.

These auto issues are a bummer.

I'd buy one with an auto........

and give it the Venomous mod!! :burnout:

I'm about to get my original trans. back from my truck. I may be willing to make a sweet deal on that one or the one that is in my truck....

These autos are a pain in the ass, especially if you want to go fast.

You should do a conversion kit VENOMOUS1. Seriously, no BS, great next step to any serious auto performance QC owner. Cost to convert it is almost the same or less than spending money on this 48re POS.

Agreed, although I personally love having auto. I daily drive and especially driving around on base where there is a stop sign every 20 feet, it's just a pain in the ass. I likely would just pick up a RC as a second vehicle if I wanted to go the manual 10 route. But as stated, for someone with a QC looking to actually make theirs a high performance QC, a conversion kit would be money (and prob save money in the long run)

I've spent a shitload of money on repairs and its really not worth all the BS. I could of done a conversion for the same or less.

all buttoned up just got to put some atf fluid and I'm off for a test drive..

PLEASE PRAY FOR ME!!!!!! :afraid:

test drive around the neighborhood was a success.. The wifey isn't home from work yet so Ihad to take my two little ones with me and didn't want to go too far from home just in case. I will take it out again when she gets home and go a little harder and see what happens.

Thanks Venomous one racing for your advice!!!

Your quite welcome bro. And for sure, if you decide to to the "Venomous Mod" I would be honored to transform your 10 :burnout:
Like has been said, for the cost of a "bulletproof" (doesn't really exist on a 48re,lol) auto tranny you could be banging gears like a Regular Cab!
