First. I bought new rear speakers. How do I remove the sub? It seems locked in place.

Next. Is there a magic blessing that can be bestowed upon the truck to make it stop self locking. This drives me nuts as I'm the only one that rides in her and I put things on the passenger floor all the time. I constantly forget to unlock the truck before running around. Just to go all the way back around and unlock it. They drive me Nuts!

I'm told that a good whack with a 10 pound sledge loosens up the sub. Makes reinstallation difficult though. :D

As for the auto locking, I hate it too and hope someone has a better suggestion than I have regarding sub removal.

Ok guys what ya do is cycle key 4 times to on(no start) then to off. You'll end in off position. Hit door lock button on door panel and you'll hear a chime confirming deactivation. Gotta think about sub, its been awhile on that.
Thought it was just removing screen, then screws holding speaker in. It may have had a sealing tape on mounting edge that's sticking?

Venomous1 is correct but I also want to say there is a option on the overhead console to change the beep tone, auto door lock/unlock, lock/unlock lights flash with key fob, ect ect

How do you get to options through overhead? That I never heard but would like to see

Well i dont have my truck anymore so i cant go run outside and check lol but Ill swing by my parents house and look at my dads dodge see if its the same or not. Im almost positive thats how i did mine when i had it. Im 110% sure once i was in some sort of options i was able to change the volume of the "beep" when you pressed the lock button from the fob, i was able to change the settings for the lights flashing when you pressed lock/unlock and the auto door lock. Just gotta double check how i got to those options lol

Ram Trucks 03 and prior with the Laramie package had the option on the overheads. 04 and up did not come with that option.
I have it on mine because I took it out of a 02. You can program key fobs, change you settings for door locks, horn honking. Service intervals in mileage, its pretty neat

That makes sence then because my truck was a 03 with a 05 SRT-10 powertrain. I even changed the dash wiring to 05 SRT-10 but i guess my overhead still let me do it since it was from 03

Ok thanks Scott. As always helpful as hell. Sub came right out after I pulled the two screws holding it to the bracket. Haha so obvious it was tricky

Just tried it and it didn't work.

Try again bro, it worked on mine. Cycle key from off to on 4 times and leave off on 4th. Then hit door lock switch to lock. Should chime. Do process again to enable. Make sure door is shut while doing this.

If you have a quad cab you can set it to unlock all doors when you open your drivers door. That way you can keep the self locking doors. I can look up the procedure for that if you'd like or you can get it out of the owners manual.

I would like to know how that works...
