That would be me there, uhhh :D Larry, my 'ol "shine" pickled pal.... Yeah, the hood weighs a lot less than the OEM hood. My 8 year old daughter lifted the CF hood with no trouble. Make sure when you install it to center it properly. Don't use the screws that come with it. Use ones that are a tad shorter. Also, your OEM hood shocks will be too strong for the CF hood which will push up the rear of the hood causing a larger than normal seem gap between hood and fender.

At first I just removed one side of each shock from their connections and laid the shocks in the bay while the hood was closed. But after installing Justin's CAI that became a bit more difficult with that shroud. Plus it's a pain in the rump when you have to open your hood and start messing with shock reconnections. So I said screw it and left the shocks connected as they should be. That rear lift problem is slight but it's there. Anyhow, :dontknow: it still makes it easier to show off the engine bay.

I really need to get off my azz and just do some research in figuring out what shocks are weaker and would fit like the OEM ones. Even if they were shorter I wouldn't mind.

pics will be up tomm sry for the delay had some stuff to take care of out of state
