hi all, brands new here just got my black QC a few days ago and totally pumped!. So here's the thing. The truck has been lowered, not sure what kit to be honest and it looks fine BUT it bottom's out over the slightest of bumps . road bumps are harsh, speed bumps in a parking lot at 5mph sounds like the truck will break. Anyway, can some of you give me the best idea to remedy this problem?. Obviously I love the way it sits and don't want to raise it up, but what other options might I have?. C-notch the frame?. maybe air shocks in the back, if there are any??. add some extra bushings or ?>? Any help would be appreciated. I have done the searches but nothing comes up I can find to help correct this issue, especially since im not the original owner of the truck im not sure what was done?. love it though and its amazing in everyway!

Remove front and rear bumpstop and install pancake style polyurethane ones. If you look under truck you'll likely see both bumpstops sitting on frame and axle.
We carry the bumpstops you'll need to make your ride much better :)

thank you sir!.. if you can shoot me a link to the ones you have to fix my prob then I believe I should get them coming. my teeth are getting loose!

if she still has the factory front bump stop, will have to cut the "cup" off

AND check your front & rear sway bar links. if the are still factory, YOU NEED TO GET SHORTER ONES, to bring the sway bars back "down" to level with the ground.

just now doin my links after bout 80K miles of bein wrong. its like drivin a new beast:rock:

you need to post pics of the suspension, could be the bumpstops, seen that a ton,
could be the shocks
could be the springs

or as carl mentioned the sway bars

either way usually an easy fix to a degree, also check the rear bumpstops to make sure they aren't hitting, most flips will hit no matter what you do

Big enough bumps will bend the axle flange! Makes the wheels wobble So easy on the bumps

Do you have any pictures? I might be interested.

thanks for all the replies guys. I will get under there and get some pics of various spots and post them up. I'll need to buy something to get this corrected so once you know for sure what I need let me know :)

To get you what you need we need to know exactly what's wrong, but I'm putting money on you looking under truck and all four corners are sitting in bumpstops. Take pics and post them and that'll help us diagnose your bumpy ride bud.

Your rear has shorty bumpstops but front looks to be your issue. You'll have to cut spot welds holding metal cup for bumpstop off and replace with our pancake stops like your rear has.

so C- notch the frame for the rear is the best solution?. the rear is definitely where all the major banging happens but if I need the front too I'll do it all at same time.
