    Venomous1
Does anyone know what tool I would need exactly. For the 2004

Are you compressing springs with the heads on or off?

There is nothing special required for these engines BUT you get what you pay for with a Valve Spring Compressor.

I have no idea what spring pressures you are dealing with but the more expensive compressors won't collapse or bend under load like the cheapies will.

You may be able to rent one.

    Gotcha'

I wasn't suggesting you were looking for a cheap tool just giving you a heads' up there is some real crap on the market these days.

It LOOKS like it should work, but doesn't.

Years ago, I got a little aggressive with valve lash and rpm and snapped a valve-spring on my 426 Hemi. Fortunately it didn't drop the Valve.

I ended up making my own tool for swapping out the spring.

    Good luck.
