My VIN tells me the truck was manufactured at Mercedes-Benz...

I got a '05 RC Black, but if the last 4 digits are higher than the production numbers of the '05 RC Black for that year, does that mean I got an '04 RC Black instead?

Not sure I follow.

I misread something about if the dates were earlier as opposed to it being later when it was manufactured in the same year makes the trucks a different year. I ask because if in fact my truck was a very early 2005, it could well very be the later 2004's dated to the next year in which case would answer some other questions I had.

2005 production year ran from Sept 2004 through June of 2006


Like most bands

04 ran from Nov 03 through June 04
06 ran from Sept 05 through June 06
