I just wanted to follow up on this thread. After switching to ATI damper, no more disappearing oil. I guess its possible that if your balancer is loose, the oil might squirt through the crank
seal only when the engine is revving and oil pressure is high...
Cheers!
Hey Kiwi SRT10, have you checked your IAT sensor reading after doing this? I just installed a Volant. They are about $350 now. My truck came with the JMB intake and was worried about the IAT because it was hitting 150 in traffic and its 35F here! I tried moving the IAT sensor to the air filter...
Can someone link me to some O2 sensor extensions that I can get ASAP? I order the wrong extensions from summit and now im waiting over 2 weeks for extensions from an SRT-10 store with no tracking or next day delivery . My truck is my only vehicle and Im losing my mind!
Not oil cap, I replaced it last winter and it's not leaking. Zero oil on the oil cooler lines and front valence. Oil pan is tight. I was kinda hoping there would be a bunch of oil in my intake manifold but there was zero. Its so much oil I just don't get it. At least I've got lots of room to...
I know there's many posts about how these eat oil. Mine goes through tons of oil. I don't have any smoke and I was never able to figure it out. I just did an ATI damper because my balancer almost fell off. I read that the front crank seal might leak in this situation. I saw some oil there but...
Interesting. I decided to mod because I just hate plastic lines. I didn't like the way they ran under the intake. I'm thinking about doing a dual catch can setup that I can switch to high flow when I go FI without too much trouble. I'm using McNally Gen2 catch cans that I got when they were on...
Hi, I'm back with another question. I'm almost done with all my summer mods. I drilled and tapped the valve covers to fit AN fittings but I noticed that the OEM ports had restrictors on in them. I've read so many crankcase threads but they are all slightly different. Some say larger breather...
I got my pipes used from a salvage yard for 800. It took a lot of work to get them shine again. The idiot that had them before me had the right side welded to 3" steel and the left 2.5", lol. It was a little challenging to tig a 304 vband to it but it turned out nice...I did green cats and I've...
Thanks, I didn't know that. I put in a very slightly thicker gasket and filed down the trans a little. I'm about to torque it down and see. I'm wondering how much clearance I need there.
I just installed some ARH long tubes and one of the headers is touching the trans. I used Mopar MLS gaskets. Anyone else have this problem? I wasn't able to move the pipes to get clearance. I can push the pipes and they will bend away. Should I try harder to lift the rear of the pipe for...
