How do you know you need a crank? I just went through this with mine. You will need a new 2004 bolt if your an 05 with the silver 3inchish bolt. There are two sizes, my 05 required the old bolt and new balancer from dodge. Balancer I believe was $180ish. Red loctite to new balancer to 150lb...

Lifted rear and floated to the shop (lowered rc), didn't remove anything. I requested a flatbed but that was a no go due to tranny failure, so they said.

I got it, made the parts counter look up 2004 viper engine crank bolt - $13 bucks and some change, which they swapped for the short stubby one they sent. I did buy the other stuff from them they just sent the wrong bolt. Problem solved, thanks for your input.

So I ordered a new balancer, pulley, and bolt based off my 05's vin but it isn't the correct one. I used a 21m socket to pull the old bolt out. The one they sent has a larger head, is much shorter in length and too freakn wide. Does anyone have some insight on these bolts, been down now two...

After further examination there are small grooves inside the balancer. So fucked, curtain call.

If your loosing all power check hot and ground cables from battery. Just throwing that out there.

The 21mm center bolt is the one that is loose, but I will check the others this next go around, thanks. I wasn't really thinking about the driveshaft spinning in neutral when tightning down is there a correct procedure for getting it tight while the truck is on the ground. Leave it in gear...
