Yes your right those trucks are extremely under tuned from the factory . I did all of the tuning myself . A good friend of mine owns a dyno . I have been building cars all of my life and I would never let anyone else touch anything I own .
1. 70lb injectors
2. Hennessey venom intake manifold
3. Bassani shorty headers ran into collectors into 4" pipe into high flow cats then ran all the way back with 4" pipe (btw I have flowmaster 40 series mufflers if you want them , I picked up 32 extra hp without them and it sounds slot better )
4, 70mm throttle body
5. 3.73 gears
6 . Solid rear axles
7 hennessy ignition system
8. One piece custom aluminum rims with chrome inserts
9. k/n air filter
Idk if you know alot about larger displacement motors but when you add performance parts to a bigger motor the hp gains are higher . Let's say you have a 302 and you add a cold air intake you will prob pick up 8-10 hp at the back tires .
