Look into taking the foster parent class also (even if you only want a newborn) because when someone gives up thier newborn to the state unless there is blood family to adopt usually the Foster parent who gets the child gets first chance to adopt. the classes we did cover adoption and foster.
we are open to both, but we want a newborn. our girls are 6 & 4 yrs old, we want a younger child
 
Congrats on getting your qualifications done. This has been a long time coming for you. I hope you get your son soon!
 
It is a 4 page letter with pictures about our family. They show it to the pregnant girls that are placing there baby for adoption. The mother picks families to interview.

agency called today. I just got back from the hospital to see my son for the first time. Birnging my girls back so we can get family time started.

pics to follow, he should be released tomorrow afternoon or Thurday.

long time waiting, I never thought it would happen!!!!!!!!!!!11

Your happiness is minor compared to what you will have given to that boy...thanks from all of humanity for helping a child into a loving home.
 
Thanks Roy, it hasn't set in yet. total surprise, they called us out of nowhere and said hey we have a kid for you if you want him.

So on August 3rd everything was finalized for our adoption of Jeremiah. Man I love my boy. He is such a blessing for our family...

For those who were looking into adoption, my adopted child is no different than my biological. From the minute my wife and I saw him he has been our boy, I love him and have/will/would give up everything to spend one more minute with him or my girls.

In November we go back on the list to adopt one more boy. Our goal will be to adopt one more!
 
Incredible! Wonderful way to create a win/win out of two very difficult situations, no three...on second thought four difficult situations...

Bravo. Bravo. Bravo...maybe a fourth is in order...BRAVO!
 
glad it worked out, carlo... i've heard some terrible stories about scenarios but it's beyond heartwarming to hear a good outcome....
