I hate to let it go, but looking to get back into the muscle car world and out of the cruiser status. Anyway, here goes:

History: Imported to Tokyo Japan in 1990 from Ventura California. Current owner purchased the car in 2006 and initiated a full frame on restoration in Yokosuka Japan. Once completed in early 2007 the car was shipped from Yokohama Japan to Los Angeles California, then shipped via enclosed carrier to Easton Illinois.

Suspension: Prior to shipping to Japan, the cars frame was cut off in line with the firewall and the front frame section from a 1989 Corvette was welded into place. In the rear, a 1989 Corvette Dana 44 posi rear differential and independent suspension were installed. Also installed are Corvette 4 wheel disk brakes and braking system, Bilstein shocks (front) and rack/pinion steering.

Engine: 1969 2-bolt main 350 (5.7L) standard bore, 90’s Chevrolet cylinder heads, 88 Camaro IROC-Z fuel injection unit converted to MAP/speed density system (no MAF). JET HOT ceramic coated stainless steel headers, Accel 22lb fuel injectors, Comp cams roller tip rocker arms, Comp Cams TPI camshaft. Computer has been custom tuned/programmed to camshaft and engine specifications.

Interior: Dakota Digital dash, Flaming River polished stainless steel tilt steering column. JVC DVD/CD player. New headliner, door panels, carpet, dash components, etc.

Exhaust: stainless steel 2 1/2â€￾ exhaust, 2 1/2â€￾ polished stainless steel Magnaflow mufflers.

Restoration: Car was stripped to bare metal, new floor pans were installed and painted with Dupont paints (have extensive pictures of the full restoration process). Original stainless body trim was high speed polished and all new chrome components/emblems have been installed.

Other Items that have been added:
1. Street and Performance chrome aluminum serpentine pulley system
2. American Autowire complete car wiring harness
3. BBK high pressure fuel pump
4. polished aluminum trunk battery box relocation kit
5. new TH-350 and torque converter
6. new Northern aluminum radiator
7. 17x8â€￾ American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels
This 1955 Chevy was published in the April 2008 A-CARS magazine in Japan Handles like or better than a 1989 Corvette. Multiple trophy winner.

$33,000 firm. May trade for a 69 GTO (in good to great condition w/4 speed or better only, no A/T's, must have black interior)

If interested call Aaron at: 309-338-4144 and I can answer any questions that you may have.

i want!!!!!!!!!!!!

glws... always loved the 210 cars...

I also love this car, hate to let it go since I have such a history with it and restored it in Japan. You won't find too many out there that have been exported to a foreign country then imported back to the US. Most only the make the trip once before they are crushed in Japan.

The only recommended upgrade that the car needs is an overdrive transmission. The TH-350 runs the RPM's to about 2600 at 60mph which cuts into the fuel economy. I would also recommend installing an internal fuel pump gas tank in the car, current system utilizes a low pressure/high pressure system with reservoir. If car sells for $32,000, I will install a new fuel tank with correct fuel pump and plumb it all in. Car has to be seen to really appreciate. It's not a trailer queen, it is driven to and from the car shows and was built to be a driver. I don't drive it in the rain and it's stored during the winters. Please feel free to contact me to discuss any concerns or questions that you may have.

Why would it be good that it was restored in Japan?? Id rather it stay in the US and be restored by someone who has done them before.. What experience do they have in japan other than restoring 1950's petal bikes...

Lived there for 18 years... you would be surprised what's over there. The Japanese are very meticulous and have a high attention to detail.

What a beauty. Classy look for interior & the paint is most definitely unique. Usually they're white, red or black out here.

My Dad has a 210 Sedan. I wire wheeled on the fenders back in '82 when he restored it.
Of course his is red but yours is waaaay nicer.

Thank you for the compliment. I am having a hell of a time finding a buyer. One guy wanted to put 24" wheels on it and leopard skin interior. Another guy test drove it, said he would "take it", gave me $5000 cash, went home, called me the next morning and cancelled the deal. Not to mention I have been offered just about everything in a trade offer. Price is at $24,000 and I can't go any lower.

nice car. if it was red and a bel air my pops would be interested in it. 55 is his year.
