Hi all. My clutch pedal is going to the floor with no pushback and can't put the beast in gear. Trying will make a loud grinding noise. I want to have all the parts in hand before going to the shop for repair. I'm thinking it needs a new clutch assembly and throwout bearing. Can anyone offer opinion based on symptom?

from what i've read & feed back from the prototype, Stinker's clutch hydralics is the way to go.:rock::rock:

as soon as he gives the thumbs up on it, i be getin one:rock::congrats::D

oh, silly question. ya check the juice level????

how many miles?

if not a lot, and you had no previous issues, i'd say it's just the slave...

you still have to drop the whole trans just to replace the slave, but you can save $700+ clutch parts that may not be necessary...

I'd recommend Tony's clutch hydraulics upgrade even if there was nothing wrong with your clutch. It's thee first performance upgrade that the RC needs. Mine was trouble from the start.

slave most likely shot, check the fluid level, and look underneath at the frront of the tranny for any tell tell signs of leakage

we are actually doing an install now, an should have pics of everything tomorrow

Thanks for the feedback all. It has 60,000 miles and is the stock clutch. I'll grab the slave upgrade kit and throwout bearing and once the tranny is dropped, if the master is shot too, i'll order an oem replacement. Hey Tony, I don't see the kit on your site, I'll e-mail you for a quote.

i broke my clutch today....(44000miles)
result: oil under the gearbox.....

does exist an upgrade???
i see a complete kit on jmb performance's web site with a viper slave cylinder,
what do you think about it?

thank you

You can get Viper hydraulics upgrade or do as many others, as well as the factory did, and put the regular truck hydraulics back in there for a bit less coin. It does sound like your Slave Cylinder is bad if it's leaking from the gearbox or between the bellhousing and gearbox specifically.;)

thank you guys....
i remove the gearbox tomorrow....

i'm trying to remove the gearbox but all my tools 're in Metric
3 days and it's not removed :elefant:
and i have difficult for disconnect the slave cylinder

next purchase:good tools but in Belgium i have very difficult to find, have you a good adress in usa????

thank you

There is a plastic ring around the disconnect at the slave cylinder line. Push in on this ring all the way around then simply pull apart the two lines. I do remember some of the bolts being SAE and not Metric but think there were both? Good luck bud.
