Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy a 2005 Quad Cab SRT-10 with 78k miles on it. Are there any known problems with these trucks that I should be looking for?

Here is the one that I'm looking at. Does anyone know who owned this truck before? Was it taken care of? Has it had warranty work done to it? Can someone run the VIN at a dealership to see about warranty work and service information?

QC have had problems with tranmissions ,,ask to see and paper work on tranny service
 
The tread on the tires looks like crap. Why is that? There are chunks missing. Dryrot? or just from driving down gravel or rock roads?

I agree with Jeff. That interior, tires, and bed show a lack of care on many levels. Keep looking, you'll find a better truck with lower milage and one that has not be driven hard and put up wet:( I have an 05 QC and if mine looked that bad I would never sell her...

Wheels look ugly, missing bed cover and wing on back, suede looks like crap. I bought an 05 QC just about 2 months ago and I'm going through many issues with it right now, such as leak in power steering hose, rack and pinion gear, rear diff leak, rotors and pads, upper and lower ball joints. Mine also had more mileage than this one though, but on any of them north of 50k miles, take it from me, do your due diligence on getting it checked out so you don't run into what I'm going through.

I would like 35 for it link to photobucket if you click to my garage can take more pics of anything you want to see in particular. Only interested in selling because I want a black one to be honest though so won't really come off that price much.
