Nicely done! Though that all is pretty permanent. I'm hoping to shave 4-500 pounds off of her pretty quickly..might steal an idea or two from Jerry. Looking for 4 doors to strip out and put plexiglass on the windows for track runs.

Update from Venomous:

New update........ Stock manifolds and four cats = 90 lbs!!! Wow! Headers might be 40 if that. Gonna find out since I installed them without weighing Whoa! Just called Belanger! The headers are 13 lbs each Another 64 lbs shaved off! Hell yeah!

Wow...That car is looking so nice. I really love that one. want to buy like that car.

Maybe a pound or 2 saved here ... I believe Trainman has these or something similar ..
Dodge Ram 2002-2005 Pickup Extreme Dimensions Fenders By Duraflex 100336 | Free Shipping

Those are exactly the ones I have. They take a lot of work to make work, you would probably need a professonal body man to install. Fenders only without headlight buckets are 7 lbs. lighter than the stock fenders per side. The VIS carbon fiber hood is 14 lbs lighter than the factory hood.

Note to Viperhauler

:D I Think we need to post the initial weight of a base RC and QC minus Tonneau cover. From all I've read from many post and members whom have scaled and shown proof, I think we should set the weights at 5000 RC and 5500 QC respectively.:D This weight is WITHOUT driver and WITHOUT tonneau cover as many did not come with this option. :D:burnout:

So Venomous 1, What is your total weight reduction so far after mods? I read on a few other forums and maybe even this one that for 100lbs reduced is like gaining 10HP. I know it's not actual HP to the motor it is just a way to gauge your gains. So let's say you reduced your truck weight by 300 lbs it would feel like a gain of 30HP. Also read for every 100lbs reduced is like gaining a tenth in the quarter mile. I'm not stating facts just info I have read and this all may be common knowledge? I think it's just interesting to add a HP number to your weight reduction. I'm sure others will chime in I'm just quoting some stuff I read.

Basically you're freeing up horsepower via weightloss so the horsepower we have is more effective ;-)
Yes, it is a close and reliable note that for every 100 lbs of you CAN gain a tenth ;)
Remember though, we are already in a light rear pickup truck and launching and traction worsen as weight from the midsection and rear is removed. Also your springs become stiffer, ride is stiffer, and weight transfer worsens.
Now, account for those factors, and you're Golden :chain:
