Just get EVERY bit of wiring from that totalled truck. Including interior/dash wiring. Shouldn't take to much fab to get the motor bolted in. Bolts in like a v8 just a little longer but hopfully it sits forward enough to leave the firewall alone. Have custom motor mounts made and As far as the slip yoke shaft goes just buy a regular cab alumium driveshaft and have it cut and welded to work with your car bro. Shouldnt be very hard at all. Heard of a few people doing swaps like this in other cars/truck and coming soon(maybe, probley, hopfully) a sandrail.

hehehe, our FLOOR getting crazy :D now, succes with the project young boy... just don't forget "how" you want it on the road..... tuning "oldtimers" is now also forbitten in our banana land ... so you have only 1 option without "cheating" : get the car on O-plates before any changes . Afterwards you "can" change what you want but remember making it in fact impossible to sell ever , which requires a new tech inspection....:(

but i imagine that crossed your mind already....
good luck with the wrenching

hey Barry, long time no see. How R doing? :p

Yeah, did some research beforehand obviously... we're getting the sled ready for licence plate with (vintage) V8 & trans, then (only then) the real fun starts.... complete frame off, I only want to do this once :D

Most likely the firewall will need some mod's, don't think the ten will fit otherwise. I was just wondering now how I can get the PCM (any OEM type) to work. If it is VIN independant it should be a no brainer right?

You guys know which sensors (appart from those ON the engine) I need to connect/use without a complete re-program of the computor?

Even if the oem computer needs a vin number you can just use the one from your truck

got my hands on some desoto teeth and NOS bumpers.

Picked up the engine from the forwarder last week... Now wondering if I need a stock wire harness or "viper harness for non viper applications".:dontknow:
Salvage yard yanked out (= cut) some of the wiring that came on the engine

Engine/trans is out of a 2006 Ram, ECU I got is from 2005 model.

I'm planning to use autometer gauges.

Guide me viper wizards !

The best way is to find a "complete" wiring harness from a wrecked 06. It will be easier to elliminate the wires you don't need than to figure out the ones you do need. even the fuel system will need to be utilized. I have the 2005 service manual It is 175 MB . I will try to find a link.

What is THE diameter of our rear axle? Plan to remove THE leaf springs and go for coil over shocks. What would you recommend ? 3 link or 4 link set up?
