sometimes my truck will idle at 1,000 and get stuck there while im at a stop in drive or in park. this never happens before when it usually idles between 500-750. what could this mean? Also sometimes while going WOT it doesnt open up all the way and hauls ass like it use too
 
Try replacing the TPS sensor.
Several, including myself have had this issue in the past and a TPS sensor cured it.
There is a voltage or resistance reading that you can check the old one, but I don't remember what that was.
 
Yup! It's a simple potentiometer that should be around .68-.74 volts at idle and above 4.5 for wide open throttle. You can probe two of the three wires with a voltmeter and watch that it cleanly goes from the idle .68 - above 4.5 volts with no skips anywheres.:burnout:
 
noticed you also have a bbk tb when they came out they originally had a problem with them sticking something else you might want to consider. i never had the issue but a lot of people did so possible.

i had a bbk and mine did that so i sold it and got a roe:)
 
yeah first ones they had a lot of issues with it. mine i think is second generation never had an issue with it. but its possible the issue or a screw in the blade has worked itself loose a bit and blade has shifted. i know i eventually want to replace mine with tony's new one its out performing them all right now anyways :)

The only back to back dyno of the jtsvp TB and bbk TB used a ported jtsvp TB so its not really an apples to apples comparison.


Heart, I would start with the TPS
