Carl not sure if you remember ... But the passenger side shield you sent to me a few years ago .... Are sides interchangeable ? I would think that there a a few out there considering people are using headers now ...
I'm not sure actually, I've never taken them off. All I know is when you pop the hood its the passenger side manifold and you can see two bolts connecting the shield to the headers. The break is one the bolt nearest the firewall.

Mine did the same thing in the back. Maybe there is a re-call.
Mine broke in the same place..
Can't remember for sure , but I do think there is a 3rd bolt under/behind the manifold... I did have to crawl under the truck to get to it ....Really wasn't that hard to replace .. about half an hour .. WD40 them before you start...

Mine broke on my 05, and i just removed it. Drove it for 40k miles with no heat issues. And it looked better.
Mine did the same thing in the back. Maybe there is a re-call.
There are no recalls .... But there should be on a lot of things with these trucks:chain:

What's your zip code and approximate weight of the heat shield? Mine rattles pretty bad too and needs replacing.
