Subwoofer rattles

Humm anyone else's subwoofer rattle at mid to high bass ? Stock audio system.

I have to keep tightening up the allen bolts around the subwoofer. Im thinking of using some loctite ?
 
Mine never rattles but it is boomy and I can't find a way to soften the base. I have the Infinity system. Any clues? I went to the stealer and he said they are factory set and not field adjustable.
 
I have an 04 and if you look on the drivers side of the AMP there is a little black button that pushes in or pushes out. That is the normal bass or super bass button. Crank up a song and push it in and out to hear the difference. When I bought the truck it was on super bass and too much for the system...w/ it off now it is perfect.

Thanks for the info. I never thought to look at it for any adjustment. I know that something for sure is wrong with it though. Because it does suck.
 
humm i looked all over my amp. Didnt see any black button ?

I've never noticed it on mine. I'll have to look.:confused:

stuff some polyfill around the speaker, it will "soften" it up some:sheep: :viking:
 
Black button??? Next to the radio, If you press the red button, roll the windows down and floor it, it takes the rattle sound away :D

well if i had real exhaust it might, lol still using the UPS truck exhaust. :D
