i will admit, this event was strictly about top speed... so it didn't matter if it took an hour to get to the other end... but it was fun outrunning the challengers to the 1/2 mile mark:D

it only went 125 in the 1/2... i was hoping it would be between 130-140 at the minimum... but it was running REAL rich, too...

yeah, i only trapped 122-125 all day... the challengers were both in the mid 130's...

there's no award or anything for getting to the other end first, unfortunately:mad:

i made 10 runs... and hung out A LOT... coulda made more if i quit yappin my beak and got back in line... it was run as much as you want...

the s2000 that went 173 used a chute... but i think he didn't brake until way after the braking zone (testing maybe??) there's almost a half a mile of braking zone... but i found out in carabelle, there's only 1/4 mile of brake zone!! and down there, they've got a LOT faster cars overall!!
 
I hope we can convince em to do it twice a year, will run my truck next time.

BTW little prick, no need to call me I got it figured out!!
 
Looks like fun, I'd like to try the Texas mile down here one year, haven't been over 120 in my truck in a LONG time
 
I am putting this event or one like it on my list of things to do, Texas Mile is on there too. Along with many many others.
