I have a complete volant intake...very nice..good filter. 225 shipped. .

I have the hood scoop..its just not mounted

Does a Dyno simulate the way air enters a intake on acceleration? That would be a big negative.

proven fact that little or no air comes in the hood scoop, it's actually better as a heat release....... tons of threads on this.

the box is great for putting a zip lock bag with ice in it at the track for cooler temps lol

i also done what trainman did though and made a opening in the front of the grill and ran it into the other opening in the bottom of the box. but never considered the ice thing thats a great idea.

its still a great intake just dont use the scoop, actually I would probably go with a clear lid that way you can see the air filter inside box and keeps it cleaner then an open design intake.

keep it ,take the scoop off close it up with a plexiglass top and stick a bag of dry ice in it when you go to track ,makes a darn good ice box for cold air ,I use to have one and used it that way all the time :rock:

utilize the bottom opening through the front grill and you will be happy. if done right it looks factory
