changing out the antifreeze drain plug, yikes

hey guys , changed out the old antifreeze, drained the radiator, and can't get the drain plug to screw back in , any suggestions, will i have to pull the radiator ??? it will not screw back in for nothing. it's not striped i think i backed it out to far
 
yeh it's not working for me , will keep trying ,but i think i will have to pull the radiator, the nut is still on and the plug wont pull out, i'm screwed.pulling out the radiator where do i have to send it repair??? this turned out to be a nightmare.i cant even pull it out if i wanted, it won't budge either way

Same thing happened. I fought with it for over an hour and finally I pulled and twisted so hard that I ended up with the petcock in my hand. But then it just screwed back in. I was just approaching he point of pulling the radiator, just keep working at it and it will go. I'm never touching that thing again, just gonna pull the lower hose in the future.
 
Thats a good idea on the hose, I will be doing a 170* therm and upper hard pipe from jtsvp so may as well replace the bottom hose and clamps while I'm at it......
 
yeh , your right i will never touch that valve again , pull off the lower hose wish i had thought that thru,the day is over here will try tomorrow,got frustrated with it and gave up before i put a hammer to it, just don't want to pull the radiator. thx for your help
