Pretty simple to do, one cut and one weld per side, strap the pipe out of the way and beat the sh*t out with a screwdriver and a hammer. Sounds MUCH deeper and a lil better throttle response, also, i still have my rear 2 oem cats in (for now)...

I've got a set of carless mids to go on in a few months, can't wait to hear it then!!!!! How much louder is it with 2 out of the way???

Its a pretty good bit louder, mainly a huge increase in how deep it sounds...its nothing like my last truck was though, ive gotta get these other 2 stockers off...

I put catless mid pipes in my truck and the sound is nice crusing around town it has a nice deep sound and when I get on it people can hear me a few blocks away, very loud. Every once in a while I get the check engine light.

Catless mids with a magnaflow cat-back is unbelievably loud. I run that setup, and it's the loudest idle on a car/truck I've ever heard, while still having mufflers.

My Stage2 PCM has the rear o2's off so I should not get CEL, hopefully.... plus the mids have the o2 sims already installed.

usually leaving the big empty cans on the exhaust do more harm than good on hp ,plus I hope you were wearing a real good dust mask when you were doing this ,that catalyst is big time cancer causing

+1 Those hollow cans will disrupt flow (turbulence).

They also give a hollow sound where they are at. Sounds much better thru exhaust, but I agree after doing it myself, it causes turbulence in the exhaust tract as the exhaust swirls around in the empty shell instead of a smooth track out the tailpipe.

It cant be any worst than having an actual blockage with only tiny holes to force it through...and the sound and throttle response is improved...

hmm interesting, mine is aloudy loud as hell with the 4 cats on,, i may have to take them off and do catless, you got a sound clip by any chance?

I want to delete my back 2 cats as well. Worried about emmissions here though. I would really enjoy a little more sound/responce!
