I know, I know..... Another Oil Question....

I've used Mobil One so far but my buddy who has his own shop said he could get me oil at no charge to me. Only problem is he doesn't carry Mobil One 0w40. So could I run 5w20, 5w30, or 10w30 those 3 he has in Mobil One and Pennzoil Ultra. I've searched and searched and the only thing I can come to a complete conclusion is many(including me) use 0w40 because that's what Dodge says so why not? The '04's with the same engine are told to run 10w30. I see others using different oil all over the matt. Can I run these without causing any more wear than normal or robbing power from the engine?

I'd go with the 5/30.
 
does he carry Shell Rotella T6 5w-40???
 
I use Mobil1 Syn 15-50...!!! no issues..also quiets the ticking ..especially in summer..!!
 
0 40 just covers the temp spectrum better.....its more important to use a lighter oil in winter and heavier in the summer.....10 30 for me would be a lil light for these 100° ohio summers....

That's what I was leaning towards... I use it in the lady's G8 and it goes 22,000 between changes per GM but of course that has more to do with the engine and other components than the oil but Pennzoil Ultra 5w30 at 22,250 still looks new on the stick.

I have never seen that in a store around here of course I've never looked either.
