Bodybuilding

Actually if you look back a few more posts... you'll see that I said you were exactly right and tried to answer your question.

Ok so if you agree that using machines is beneficial, then why when I post a video you talk smack about machines lol

Not smack bro. Just pointing out that is not a "squat"

Gotcha. Thanks for pointing that out  Ill try and get a "proper" squat vid up in a few days. I gotta admit, I dont like taking videos of myself working out lol, especially in the gym Im at now. Afterwards I got some of those "oh you think your a bad ass" looks. But yea I brought up the whole machine thing before I even made the video to try to avoid this exact conversation. I know its not a real squat, but it is helping me squat more.

Front squats are a bitch and if you think you are strong on back squats, do front squats and find out how weak you really are lol. My buddies also do overhead squats. That's where you hold the bar with weight straigh over your head and squat. Just 2 different techniques to make things more challenging and switch things up and incorporate other muscles into the exercises.

You flat bench 315 off cycle, what do you bench on a cycle ?

What do you take ? water based or oil based ? do you stack them ?

I should have worded that different, its not what you think. I was talking about my cut/bulk cycle.

Set a new personal best on bench today...205lbs. Not that impressive, but, for me, it's pretty good. The sets we did consisted of doing a weight you can do for 5 reps, then 4, 3, 2, then 1 rep for 4 tries. My second set of 1 rep is when I hit 205, so by that point I had already done 10 reps. I imagine fresh I could probably get 210. We then did the same workout, but did deadlifts, then did 3x3 of clean and press with as much weight as you could do for those 9 total reps. I weighed 175ish when I deployed back in September, but dropped as low as 155lbs due to stress, not eating well, not lifting, working long hours on this deployment. About a month and a half ago my 2 buddies started dragging me to their lunch time lift sessions. Since then, I've been eating breakfast every day, plus 2-3 protein shakes a day, so 3 total regular meals and 3 supplement meals. I've put on about 7lbs so far and increased my strength across the board. At 162lbs right now. Only way is up from here!

Thats the attitude! I know how bad deployments can beat you up, and sometimes you just have to suck it up and drag yourself to the gym. Stick with it man, you'll have your weight up in no time. And congrats on your new best!

And today doing weighted pull-ups I ripped my right pec muscle. Hopefully it heals up fast.

Take it easy man, Im still paying for trying to be superman on the bench a few weeks ago. My shoulder now has a nice little "click" sound when I move it a certain way. Still hasnt healed up because Im a dumbass and keep working out.

yeah today we were doing 1 rep max weighted pull-ups to find our true max weighted pull-up weight. I did my first 2 reps no problem, then added 5 more pounds, and for whatever reason my pec just lost it. Probably from the bench workout yesterday lol

Well after about 2 months off being out of the game due to a shoulder injury, Im finally able to get back at it. So far Ive only been lifting again for about a week, starting off light as hell so I dont rip my shoulder again. Im about halfway back now. During my time off I focused a lot on cardio, which is really starting to pay off, you can really see the weight loss in my neck, face, and gut. I took this pic today as a "before" pic, and in a few weeks Ill take another one for comarison. Fingers crossed I dont hurt myself again.

Not talking about Chris, but I know a lot of guys use something called "photoshop" to get totally jacked. I asked for it at GNC, but they didn't seem to know what I was talking about? :dontknow:
