The Original Ram SRT-10 Lil Red Express

Those were nice didn't those stacks come factory on those?

Yes, the stacks are factory, A good friend of my dads bought 2 79's new back then. Drives one here and there in the summer and the other he
dis-assembled, tagged, labeled and crated the bigger items and boxed up everything else. Says when he retires it will be his model giant kit to put back together.

Fastest american vehicle in 1978

I had a friend who had a 78 Pontiac Trans Am with the TA6.6 (real 400 cu. in. Pontiac engine, not a 403 Olds) and a 4-speed manual trans and it would smoke that truck and just about everything else that was new in 78.

Fastest not quickest....its not my opinion, look it up!!...oh and btw, the 78 vette was faster and quicker than the TA....none of my friends had either one!!

Sorry....I like quickest....and I'd be willing to bet my friends TA (with me driving) could smoke a stock 78 vette( in fact you couldn't even get a stick shift in California in those days, we had to pick the car up in Las Vegas)...the TA was pure stock....We actually challenged a 1971 455HO trans Am...raced him heads up and I beat him by about 4 cars (back in 1978), my friends TA was only about 2 months old and it was fast! (For a 1978).....I was driving a 1973 SD455 Trans Am(4-speed) at the time....and it was way faster than anything from 1978.

If I ever buy another truck it will be one of these.... There was a ton at CC last year with "For Sale" signs in the windows.
