The "NEW" Jeep Cherokee

The wife and I currently own a Grand Cherokee Limited as her driver. We have been "patiently" awaiting the Diesel GC and had plans of getting it in Overland trim. Last week we stopped by a local dealer to see if they had taken delivery of one yet. We were parked on a lower lot and she decided to walk to the upper lot wile I looked around. I later drove the Wrangler up to meet her and she rushed up to me and said "You gotta come see this!" Well she is no longer "patiently" awaiting the diesel. She LOVES the new Cherokee Trailhawk (It's LOADED) and said she is glad the diesel GCs were delayed now. Saves us about 15 grand in the process.

Arent they front wheel drive with 4wd option. With the sideways engine like a car?

I'm not lovin' the front end. It looks like it is trying too hard to look like an import.:dontknow:

That's sweet! What do they look like inside? Hemi too?
Really nice. We got a loaded up "Trailhawk" version with red stitched black leather and every option available. Actually the most comfortable seats of anything we have owned to date! Pentastar 3.2 V-6 (271 HP/240 TQ)

Nope. There is a front drive model available. The Trailhawk model has a very sophisticated AWD system that even has a rear locker. Granted it is NOT designed to be a purpose built off-roader but it does a great job for what it is. Even has an ascent/descent assist feature (set the system, the speed, and just steer). No gas. No Brake. Its a little weird especially to someone like me that wants to control the thing on my own but it works! Did some snow covered hill climbing today as well as some downhill "foot free" stuff.

I'm not sure what Jeep's design department was thinking on this one. After hitting a home run with the Grand Cherokee, I really expected a bit more from them. Kind of has a Pontiac Aztec feel to the looks. I'm glad she likes it so much. Very nice looking TJ in the last pic.

Jeep is doing great things these days. I love my GC Overland with the hemi and the air suspension. I was going to buy another Escalade until I drove the Jeep.

hmmm... headlight are to small imho
and the taillight looks a bit Kia...:(

previous model was badass , this one is not my cup of tea.:dontknow:

Top lights are LED markers. The headlights are projector style in the middle with fogs in the lower fascia.

The wife has the GC 5.7 HEMI & loved it until she had a chance to drive the SRT-8. That will be her next JEEP. The JEEP she has now is our third JEEP & I don't see us without one.

My wife wanted the srt jeep as well. I just ain't dropping $70k on a vehicle unless it is a Viper . We "comprised" with a Durango RT lol.

Drove by the old dana test grounds on the way to a friends house last month...Thousands of these Cherokees sitting trying to (isolate) a trans issue...hopefully ma mopar has them sorted out :dontknow:

That front end is something else. sorry not to bash on your new car, But it's not very good looking. think mopar flopped with this one.

Best looking GC to me is the first gen SRT.

I'm not a fan, make it look like an XJ and I'd be interested.

Not a fan of the front end at all. The vertical jeep grille is a staple that should be included. If I could get past that, I'd be interested.
