Sounds like your valves aren't seating right or on time? Cam? Timing chain? What valve train? Pushrod length? Surely you did other than forged internals. Plug wires in correct order? Like Venom truck says, all vacuum hoses correct ? We need a lil more info to help ya out bud.:burnout:

I certainly would not be reving it before checking everything vary closley to make sure nothing is fit wrong or causing damage..

All i done was the forged internals, pulled plugs out walla go nd 1357nd 9 were all rich lookin

It sat for almost a year, wat do yall think bout maybe something building a nest in the cat ond driver side of engine

Check plug wire orientation. Probably have a couple crossed

if it sat for a year its probably bad fuel. drain the tank and put fresh fuel in

Plug wires are good, nd has good fuel. Thanks though i appreciate the ideas thats wat i posted on here for, keep the suggestions flowing thanks

Did it set for a year before you built it or after? If before did you start it prior to pulling it out? Sounds like cam timing though.

I set the cam timing the way it was shown in the picture i had on it. Would it make sense if i did have a cat stopped up

Is it rich or are you looking at wet plugs and you are calling it rich ,almost sounds like your left head gasket is leaking, if its the whole left side or your pushrods are adjusted wrong :dontknow:

Not sure why we didn't ask earlier but tell us your engine codes! A bad O2 could be a simple solution! Engine sound good? Lifter ticking? Oil pressure?

It aint throwing any codes, nd yes it is rich the plugs are black real black. The engine sounds good, oil pressure is good it stays from bout 50 to 100. It starts on first crank every time

We need more on your build if you're not throwing codes to guide us.
Who built? What ring gaps? What bore? What lifters? What head gaskets?
You reused stock cam yet forged internals or am I misunderstanding?
Stock heads, valves, springs, pushrods, rockers?:dontknow:
Have you checked fuel pressure?
What year? New flywheel? Crank Position sensor/Cam sensor coming to mind really and they won't throw codes sometimes. Who installed cam sensor?

Everything is stock besides piston rods nd valve springs, wanted to put new cam in but finances wasnt there lol. All machine work was done professionally. Did replace crank sensor. it didnt help. I got all my gaskets from roe. Had to replace timing cover too which was gna be my cam money. Like i said money is tight for a coal miner these days. All injector are firing right jus a rich mixture on left bank. The cat at 1 point was glowing a lil on left Side

Double check all 4 o2 sensors. Make sure s1b1, s2b1, s1b2 and s2b2 are all in correct location. My truck acted the exact same way when i had them s1b1 and s2b2 wires switched by mistake
