I got the Jetta with the intent of only having it for as long as the lease and pocketing some money for now with the cash saved from gas and insurance and maintenance being covered for 2 years. Once I make Captain in about 2-3 years and I'm debt free I will look to get something really nice, a SRT Jeep or something like that. If I cared about performance believe me the Jetta is not what I would have gone with, at least not the 1.8T.
