Don't do it bro! I actually got to drive a black 95 with coincidentally 28k miles on it this past summer. Whoever used the word primitive to describe the gen 1's could not have picked a better word! It was cool as hell to take it for a rip, but I couldn't believe how refined my truck felt when I got back in it. I'll guarantee my truck would have atleast 3 car lengths on it through the quarter mile as well!
I own both a truck and a 94 viper granted my viper for one has a hard top and hard windows and it also has a roe supercharger and a big shot of nitrous I like them both for there own reasons
My father in law pretty much owns all of the generations of vipers except the 5th gen
And hands down the 1st gen is the strongest motor they ever bulit and they will take so much more abuse then the other generations
They also almost always dyno higher numbers them the factory stated
But yes they are crude cars but if that doesn't bother you it's a great car

Trade it. I loved my truck but owning a Viper takes driving pleasure to a whole new level.

Last year I have a shot at trading my 10 plus 4k for a mint, garaged 7,000 actual mile 2004 Viper. :dontknow: Sweet ride, I just needed an engine hoist to get back out of the car. Kept my truck. :rock: Trucks rule in TEXAS.:rock:

After driving a Gen 1 for 30 mins, realized it was not a vehicle I would spend any real time in. Getting in was like falling in a bucket, like Shorty said, need a hoist to drag my backside out of it! Bought the truck instead of a 440+6 Super Bee & have NEVER REGRETTED IT..

Went and checked it out. It's in pretty good shape besides just being filthy for some reason. Their garage bays were locked and only the owner has keys and his was at auction. A few hours away. Goin back for test drive Monday but likely won't get this one. I did however have a few salesmen begging for a ride in the truck. So,of course I gave a few a ride in the truck. They were all blown away that a two and a half ton truck can spin thru third gear. They wanted it traded in bad now!

I would keep your truck don't trade for any gen1 in my opinion if you really looking for a viper car I would look into a gen2 or newer

Yall missed the whole even trade part. I WOULD get a new version first if I had money laying around. I'm lookin a stepping stone. Unless yall think an srt truck is worth 40-50.....I won't be even trading for a gen two or above.
