My good friend Paul at Pauls Paint and Body in High Ridge MO had started this restoration project about 1.5 years ago at his shop. His "restoration" body man was eventually let go due to some issues, and the project was handed over to me...in boxes. I got a complete basically perfect shell without a single bolt on it other than the body panel fasteners. I met with the customer to get his vision for the project, and although its not what I would necessarily build, I am very pleased with how it is coming along. Here's the last 4-5 months of progress:

Still a decent amount of interior and engine compartment work left. The last pics where from about a week ago, since then we got all the accessory drive done, plug wires loomed, engine wiring done, front/rear glass set, and we are installing the exterior glass trim. We've done everything you see in house except the narrowing of the rear end, and installing the front/rear glass. The longblock was built by a family friend before we took the project on, and obviously Pauls did all the paint and body work. Its interesting to try and figure out a puzzle that you didnt take apart lol, but it hasnt been too bad yet.

WOW!!!! :drool: Incredible! :drool: That is awesome work! :rock:

very nice:rock::rock::rock:

Nice work! I built a 66 back in the day (traded it for my first Corvette). It didnt look anywhere near that nice. Steve should be very happy. ;)

Everything you do is better than the factory ever could have imagined. Glad we have people arond still who know how to take an idea and turn it into a beautiful reality!

Awesome job. That interior really looks beautiful. Like it shoulda come from the factory that way.

Way to go Justin!

The customers choice of wheels are hideous... IMO... Needs staggered 19x10 and 19x8 in the front IMO. 5-spoke with 1" and 3" dished wheels... IMO

I really like it and sadly agree with Dan about the no fastback part.

Yeah im not digging the wheels, they are staggered 8" and 9.5" wide but the style I dont care for.

but... it's not a fastback!

you're killin me smalls:D

but i can dig it... sweet project none the less...

I know I know, thats the first comment everyone has about it lol. The body kit really helps the coupe, but its still not a fastback. Its a car hes had for 20+ years so I totally understand why he chose it.
