I need everybodys help. Hopefully in a month I am going to be ready to buy my first SRT 10. I am particularly looking for a 2005 RC...must be a RC. Will consider any color available and preferably low miles (50, 000 and under) but will still consider a little higher than 50,000. I live just below Atlanta Georgia but it doesnt necessarily have to be close by me but would be nice. If anyone can help me out finding one I would greatly appreciate it.

What are your reasons for wanting specifically a 2005?

A 2006 would be a little out of my price range. I like that the 05 has the 4.56 gears over the 04 and also the upgraded braking sysyem over the 04. I know there are only 3 years to choose from but would in general like to have the latest year that I can afford. I just have no interest really in the 04's for the few reasons I explained above.

2005 and 2006's (to include 04's) are pretty much the same price when it comes to value. The only difference your seeing is asking price, not what people are paying or willing to pay

I just really dont have much interest in the 04's. The 06 would be great but I don't like the fact that the middle console is stationary. I have a 3 year old son and occasionally I ride with him and one other person which would limit me with the stationary middle console. So that's why im set on a 2005 model.

Sorry, I was working of the I can't afford it statement

I'll move along now

Oh its all good and I appreciate the info. Just seems from what ive seen that the 06's are holding more value for some reason. Idk, im gonna keep looking.

I've had all 3 year models so here's MHO.

You would be happy with an 04;) I doubt if you would notice the difference in the brakes at all. You would notice it's a littler ''higher'' geared but if you haven't driven one with 4.56's then again you wouldn't notice it.

Honestly I would just find the best deal on the color you want and go for it!!

Salties, I unfortunately cant man cause I havent been a member on here long enough. Kyles srt10, I appreciate the insight and your probably right. Im just very particular on stuff like this and I do my research and then decide ya know. I will for sure keep the advice in mind though and I do appreciate it man.

I just traded this one in about a month ago. It is in central TX and a great truck! Low miles and clean. Stock except for the K&N and other visual Mods. The people at the dealership are great. I know them personally and I am sure they could work with you on the pricing. They really aren't asking for much more than they gave me on trade in.

Also, here is my for sale ad when I posted it up.

Good luck in your search!

i've had both 04 and 05 and i would consider selling my 04 now.

the brakes make no difference - having had both of mine on road courses, auto crosses, and several mountain runs...

the 4.10 vs. 4.56 is also barely noticeable... my trucks ran almost identical times at the drag strip.

i'm a couple hours from you if you can't find anything you like...

Viperhauler, I would for sure be interested in some pics, info and condition on the truck, price, ect. The more opinions I get, the more I would probably be ok with an 04.

Don't listen to these people, they don't know what they are talking about... except Jeff, he is THE authority on all things Viper truck... and Kyle, he's owned six of these trucks... or Dan, on his second truck and works them harder than anyone one the forum.... yeah, you are right. You should totally get some more opinions before making a decision. :hmmmm2:
