Rick (PhxPoolGuy) & I went to the Barrett Jackson Auction today. I got free passes from Dodge. Free Admission, Free Skybox, Free food & drinks. Plus free rides in the new VIPER car & free rides in the HELLCAT. Life is good. Had so much fun we are trying to go back Saturday. Thank You Dodge.

That's like a winning lotto ticket,,well maybe not a lotto ticket, but a dam good scratch off

That's Awesome. I went to Barrett Jackson Scottsdale 3 years ago. It's a must go to for car lovers!

Nothing this year, but after seeing some of the prices some of the cars were going for Rick said he is bringing cash next year & buying. Some of them would cost you more to buy them off the street & mod them than it would if you bought them there & someone else has paid for the new paint, new engine + mods & interior. A lot of good buys between $20,000 & $50,000. You guys need to come out for this at least once.

Went down in 2011 and want to go back again next year..I hear it's even bigger and hopefully buy something. When I was down there my buddy sold off his Viper and Prowler..I believe he got $125K for both..John had like 800 original miles on both of them and still the plastic seat covers.

One will sale for $1,000,000. & the next day the same type of auto will sale for half that. I all depends on who is setting in the seats. If any of you come out this way give us a shout & we will meet up with you. Hell, I have Rick buy the first cold one.

Did you get to see Ron Pratt's (I think that's how you spell it) collection go up for sale?

I saw the collection sold on TV. I think that was Mon/Tue we went Thur. There was a Dodge Dealership out here that would give you two free tickets if you test drove one of the vehicles. But it was for free admission only. One of the guys from one of the MOPAR clubs that I belong to told me about a Dodge website, I went to it & it gave me a phone number to call for free tickets. I called the number & a woman answered "Hello Dodge ticket line how can I help you"? I told her I was calling about free tickets for the Barrett Jackson Auction. She said only tickets that she had left were for Wed, Thur or Fri. I told her Thur. She took my name, address & phone number & told me there would be two tickets waiting for me at will call. She said the tickets would be for admission, access to the skybox with free food & drinks. I wasn't sure about this myself until Rick & I picked up the tickets at will call. The auction is for 9 days Sat until Sun of the next week. Usually the less expensive cars are sold first with the cars getting more expensive as the auction moves along. The most expensive are usually sold on the last week end of the auction. It's a Disneyland for guys. Everything auto.

I am moving out to scottsdale at the end of june. I am really looking forward to meeting you arizona guys. And i already have several friends and family planning to take a trip out next january to go to barrett jackson. Would love to see you guys there as well. Have a little srt10 meetup for the show. I will also be coming out a coyple times in the next few months to look at different areas to live. I would really appreciate some input from you local guys. Looking to be within about 20 min or so from the Mayo Clinic. So maybe somewhere around not far off of scottadale ave and shea blvd intersection area.

That's a shame, not a MOPAR in the top sellers. Privatetoe82, the area you are talking about is pretty expensive area. A very good area, but expensive. Usually you will pay double the price if you are in Scottsdale. If you need a realtor. let me know.

Wife and I are thinking about retiring to AZ in the near future..tired of the Pacific NW rain and the traffic woes. Have family in Mesa but looking over Prescott area as well..just like the many sunny days over rain, rain and more shitty rain...but will never give up my Seahawks!

sorry to say.... "The bloom is off the rose on Mopars" They are becoming a better bargain and the clones are affordable if you want to drive and enjoy one.

Cheers :)

I find it interesting that Ron Pratt sold his collection. Just like he sold his real estate development company just before the bubble burst in 07'
Hmmmm.....;)

I think you're onto something, or for that matter Pratt is. I have been wondering this for a while, the economy is slloowwwlly trying to creep back yet auto makers are advancing as fast as the real estate market did through the early to mid 2000's. Something bad is in the near future for auto makers if they continue at this pace!
